Separate data from control
The customer deployment can retain members, reports and realtime samples while the cloud manages deployment entitlement and configuration. Narrow service calls are easier to review than an undefined sync pipeline.
Self-Hosted must be operable
A release is more than a container. Backup, restore, upgrade ordering, health checks and version compatibility determine whether the system can be trusted in production.
